Commissioner Says Negotiations Are Not Going Well

Super Bowl game hype might be a little lax this year, but the NFL drama continues around the conference table with labor talks bogged down as the player's union and the team owners hash out a new the collective bargaining agreement. The current CBA expires after the 2007 season, and so far NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue says talks are not going well.

More statements from the commissioner include a renewed committed to keeping the Saints in New Orleans, support for continued instant replay, the chances of playing a 2006 regular-season game outside the US being close to nil, and that the only way Los Angeles would get a team would be through expansion, which is not very likely as it would give the NFL an odd number of franchises.
